One of the contestants for the vacant stool of Olupo of Ajase- Ipo, Kwara, State, Prince Taiwo Soliu Olupo is getting massive support from the people of the ancient town and the indigenes of the town in diaspora.
I learnt from a reliable source that majority of the indigenes of Ajase-Ipo want Prince Taiwo Soliu Olupo to be their next monarch after the demise of the former king Oba Sikiru Atanda Woleola II who joined his ancestors on Friday, 21 February, 2021, at the age of 69. He reigned for almost 12 year.
Some of the indigenes who spoke to me on the condition of anonymity said the kingmaker should make sure that they installed Prince Taiwo Soliu Olupo who is the right candidate to fill the vacant stool of Olupo.
Another indigene, Lukmon Babalola said there is no doubt about it, Prince Taiwo Soliu is the rightful candidate to be our king, the prince is an educated person, well traveled, a philanthropist, a nation builder and man with excellent track record. He has spent many years both in US and UK and I believed that if he became our king is going to bring great development and transformation to us.
Another indigene, Christiana Kikelomo said the only candidate that we believed is going to bring more development to our town is Prince Taiwo Soliu Olupo, he has been helping us before now and i'm strongly sure that if eventually emerged our king is going to do more.
Prince Taiwo Soliu once did a street light to light up the whole town, he also erected fence for our burial ground in our town in October, 2017.
He recently paid the for the three final year secondary students of Government Day School. The names of the students are: Salako Fuhad Olamilekan, Issq Hammed Eniola and Waliyat Omokehinde.
Another indigene of Ajase-Ipo said
'Prince Taiwo Soliu Olupo is sacred, great, kind, loving, simple and very accessible. He was not born for himself, but for humanities.
Almighty Allah has raised him to the level where he doesn’t desire any material things for himself on Earth.
His secondary school mates and those that knows him during his days in high institution nicknamed him Spender (náwonáwó), others called him the free giver (Alàañu). That was during his prime age.
Friends and business associates across the globe nicknamed him Ajala travel (the global trotter)
In the course of business, he had invested so much trust and confidence in their hearts. Hence, they see his intention to become the next Olupo as a way to recompense him.
Presently, more than sixty of the them had already registered their undaunted support in ensuring that he emerge as the next Olupo.
They pledged to turn Ajase-Ipo to mega city with the establishment of different kinds of investmentss as soon as he’s announce the next Olupo of Ajase-Po.
